Be With Me
Respected and popular singer-songwriter Thom Artway, winner of the Czech Music Anděl Award, presents an optimistic new song, "Buď se mnou" (i.e. Be With Me). The new song is accompanied by a dancing video by director Ondřej Kudyn. The pop-rock song came from an old-new collaboration with producer Lukáš Chromek, who is also signed under the singer’s biggest hit I Have No Inspiration.

The path to the song Buď se mnou was not easy at all and led to a euphoric mood through the "covid hopelessness". "The song reflects my feelings from the time when everything was closed due to the pandemic. Days when I didn't know if I would be able to meet people at a concert in the foreseeable future or spend them in a kind of uncertainty at home. And that I would not be able to engage in activities that fulfill me one hundred percent," lamented Thom Artway."But with the second verse, hope enters the song and sends it to an optimistic level," he adds.
Optimism pervades the music video that follows the mentioned development of the lyrics. "The music video expresses two extremes: boredom, uncertainty and at the same time huge euphoria. But it will be more optimistic for me, because I try to take everything with grace. And it's certainly because I'm dancing in the video," says the singer with a smile and highlights the great premiere collaboration with director Ondřej Kudyn. "I'm surprised Tom and I met now. We are neighbours in Prague all the time and both immigrants from Moravia, so got on well immediately," laughs the director and adds: " When he came up with an idea of a music video with choreography, I didn't hesitate and immediately went for it, because I like challenges. Tom had a good time, everything turned out great and I'm happy with the result. I look forward to further cooperation."
Thom Artway marries a modern sound to classic songwriting. His folk-pop draws you in with a distinctive voice and naggingly melodic earworms. He has built his own emotional musical world with impassioned, introspective lyrics. His debut album Hedgehog (2016, Warner Music) signalled a brave new talent, and scooped up two prestigious Anděl awards (the Czech Grammys). With his sophomore LP, All I Know (slated for international release in June 2019), Thom forges ahead with his spirited reinvention of the format. In 2017, Thom Artway was singled out as the winner of 'International Music Project' for Czech Fresh. Focused on Czech music exports, the prize enabled Thom to shoot a music video in YouTube Space in London and participate in European showcase festivals (Eurosonic Noorderslag 2019 in Netherlands, Spring Break 2019 in Poland, the Alternative Great Escape 2018 in the UK, MaMA Festival in France, Waves Vienna 2018, Mastering the Music Business 2018 in Romania, and MusikMesse 2018 in Germany). Thom performed at the legendary Sziget festival in Hungary, and his tour took in Amsterdam, Helsinki, Zurich, Luxembourg and the UK.

Ο σεβαστός και δημοφιλής τραγουδιστής και τραγουδοποιός Thom Artway, νικητής του βραβείου τσέχικης μουσικής Anděl, παρουσιάζει ένα αισιόδοξο νέο τραγούδι, το "Buď se mnou" (δηλαδή Be With Me). Το νέο τραγούδι συνοδεύεται από ένα χορευτικό βίντεο του σκηνοθέτη Ondřej Kudyn. Το ποπ-ροκ τραγούδι προήλθε από μια παλιά-νέα συνεργασία με τον παραγωγό Lukáš Chromek, ο οποίος έχει υπογράψει επίσης τη μεγαλύτερη επιτυχία του τραγουδιστή I Have No Inspiration.
Ο δρόμος προς το τραγούδι Buď se mnou δεν ήταν καθόλου εύκολος και οδήγησε σε μια ευφορική διάθεση μέσα από την «απελπισία του Covid». "Το τραγούδι αντικατοπτρίζει τα συναισθήματά μου από την εποχή που όλα ήταν κλειστά λόγω της πανδημίας. Μέρες που δεν ήξερα αν θα μπορούσα να γνωρίσω κόσμο σε μια συναυλία στο άμεσο μέλλον ή να τους περάσω σε ένα είδος αβεβαιότητας στο σπίτι Και ότι δεν θα μπορούσα να ασχοληθώ με δραστηριότητες που με ικανοποιούν εκατό τοις εκατό", θρηνούσε ο Thom Artway. "Αλλά με τον δεύτερο στίχο, η ελπίδα μπαίνει στο τραγούδι και το στέλνει σε ένα αισιόδοξο επίπεδο", προσθέτει.
Η αισιοδοξία διαπερνά το μουσικό βίντεο που ακολουθεί την αναφερόμενη εξέλιξη των στίχων. "Το μουσικό βίντεο εκφράζει δύο άκρα: πλήξη, αβεβαιότητα και ταυτόχρονα τεράστια ευφορία. Αλλά θα είναι πιο αισιόδοξο για μένα, γιατί προσπαθώ να τα πάρω όλα με χάρη. Και σίγουρα είναι επειδή χορεύω στο βίντεο." λέει με χαμόγελο η τραγουδίστρια και αναδεικνύει τη μεγάλη συνεργασία της πρεμιέρας με τον σκηνοθέτη Ondřej Kudyn. "Είμαι έκπληκτος που ο Τομ και εγώ γνωριστήκαμε τώρα. Είμαστε γείτονες στην Πράγα όλη την ώρα και και οι δύο μετανάστες από τη Μοραβία, οπότε τα πήγαμε καλά αμέσως", γελάει ο σκηνοθέτης και προσθέτει: " Όταν του ήρθε η ιδέα για ένα μουσικό βίντεο με τις χορογραφίες, δεν δίστασα και το πήγα αμέσως, γιατί μου αρέσουν οι προκλήσεις. Ο Τομ πέρασε καλά, όλα έγιναν υπέροχα και είμαι ευχαριστημένος με το αποτέλεσμα. Ανυπομονώ για περαιτέρω συνεργασία."
