The Planetoids' new Indie/Disco Hit-Single 'I Hate Shopping'

will be released on September 10, 2021.

In the recent past, The Planetoids have been focusing on things that are a lot closer than distant galaxies and supernovas at the edge of the milky way. Their newest release “I Hate Shopping” takes a closer look at a very peculiar, yet broadly adapted system: Buying groceries. Sure, colonizing Mars sounds interesting… But the act of Shopping is just as complex and absurd. Surrounded by colors, pictures and slogans, our choice of body fuel turned into a capitalist ritual. There’s no time to analyse each product carefully for its ingredients or vitamins. We rely on images and labels. We don’t buy what our body needs, instead passing on the choice to our opinion-biased brain, which constantly processes projected wishes and needs, craving to fulfill a never ending thirst for MORE. “I Hate Shopping” addresses some of the personal crises that can be caused by the overwhelming experience of grocery shopping.

With their very personal spice mixture somewhere between Tame Impala, Metronomy or Parcels they carry their message out into the world.The single release includes a B-Side, one of the weirdest and quirkiest songs THE PLANETOIDS ever made:

“A Limerick to the Face” - a song about an old man who uses Limericks to fight off “young punks”.

Apparently, some even cried afterwards.

With the kind support of Initiative Musik Förderung, another single plus B-side will be released via LIVE ★ TALENT Records (Kontor New Media) in October 2021.

Astronomists throughout the universe agree: The PLANETOIDS are already leading the intergalactic charts on Mars, Venus and Jupiter.

And that's not all - they are among the TOP TEN on all other planets in our galaxy! Only one of them is, once again, not catching up with the trend: EARTH.

In 2014 THE PLANETOIDS have first been spotted on this big, dirty, blue planet. The foursome first crash landed their spaceship in Hannover, Germany (don’t drink and fly), but they have since been working on increasing their cosmic reach by making people dance all the way between Great Britain, Luxemburg, the Netherlands and of course Germany.

To simplify things in a way that humans can understand, they’ve been describing their music as Indie/Disco/Pop - but only because “Lots of Fun” doesn’t qualify as a musical genre. The result is a blast of energy that will make your hips shake and your heart jump a beat.

Musically, the band offers a very high level of musicianship, and will take listeners on a journey somewhere between Phoenix, Tame Impala and Katy Perry with a beard, with inevitable excursions into the realms of Funk, 80s and the glitter of deep space.

They played more than 100 shows over the last three years, and between intimate club gigs and huge open air festivals, the band has proven that in a world of digital depression, there’s still a need for happy, groovy, organic and analog music.

THE PLANETOIDS released their self-produced debut record in 2017, and have completed their concept art consisting of four EPs with the release of the last EP 'Fuchsia' (March 2021).

With the kind support of Initiative Musik Funding, further singles, each with a B-side, will be released continuously throughout 2021 via LIVE ★ TALENT Records (Kontor New Media).

Το νέο Indie/Disco Hit-Single των The Planetoids «I Hate Shopping» θα κυκλοφορήσει στις 10 Σεπτεμβρίου 2021.

Στο πρόσφατο παρελθόν, οι Πλανητοειδείς επικεντρώθηκαν σε πράγματα που είναι πολύ πιο κοντά από μακρινούς γαλαξίες και σουπερνόβα στην άκρη του Γαλαξία. Η πιο πρόσφατη κυκλοφορία τους "I Hate Shopping" εξετάζει πιο προσεκτικά ένα πολύ ιδιαίτερο, αλλά ευρέως προσαρμοσμένο σύστημα: Αγορά παντοπωλείων. Σίγουρα, ο αποικισμός του Άρη ακούγεται ενδιαφέρον… Αλλά η πράξη των Αγορών είναι εξίσου περίπλοκη και παράλογη. Περιτριγυρισμένο από χρώματα, εικόνες και συνθήματα, η επιλογή μας για καύσιμο σώματος μετατράπηκε σε καπιταλιστικό τελετουργικό. Δεν υπάρχει χρόνος για προσεκτική ανάλυση κάθε προϊόντος για τα συστατικά ή τις βιταμίνες του. Βασιζόμαστε σε εικόνες και ετικέτες. Δεν αγοράζουμε ό, τι χρειάζεται το σώμα μας, αλλά μεταφέρουμε την επιλογή στον εγκέφαλό μας, ο οποίος επεξεργάζεται συνεχώς τις προβαλλόμενες επιθυμίες και ανάγκες, επιθυμώντας να ικανοποιήσει μια ατέλειωτη δίψα για ΠΕΡΙΣΣΟΤΕΡΑ. Το "I Hate Shopping" αντιμετωπίζει μερικές από τις προσωπικές κρίσεις που μπορεί να προκληθούν από τη συντριπτική εμπειρία των αγορών παντοπωλείων.

Με το πολύ προσωπικό τους μείγμα μπαχαρικών κάπου μεταξύ Tame Impala, Metronomy ή Parcels μεταφέρουν το μήνυμά τους στον κόσμο.

Η ενιαία κυκλοφορία περιλαμβάνει ένα B-Side, ένα από τα πιο περίεργα και πιο περίεργα τραγούδια που έχουν κάνει ποτέ οι ΠΛΑΝΕΤΟΙΔΕΣ:

"A Limerick to the Face" - ένα τραγούδι για έναν γέρο που χρησιμοποιεί τα Limericks για να αντιμετωπίσει τους "νεαρούς πανκ".
